Why We Built This Site
Minnesota gives the public access to many court records through statewide court rules and Minnesota Court Records Online. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. Clay County District Court handles civil, family, probate, juvenile, criminal, and traffic cases. Court Administration handles court recordkeeping and certified court copies. The Recorder handles marriage certificates and other recording functions. The Sheriff and Correctional Facility manage jail, lockup, warrant transport, and related public-safety records. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
